unable to open .doc files sent via e-mail

Can anyone help? Since Firday I can't open MS Word (.doc) files that are
sent to me via e-mail. I even sent myself one that I created and I can't
open that one either. I keet getting a file permission error.

Please help.

Please go to the preferences options, uncheck the email virus function.

This is a way OE6 trying to stop virus propagation.
OE6's default setting makes user unable to open all the files with virus
infection risk, like .doc. So, you can change the setting to make file open.
