Unable to log into hotmail/banking web sites only

Anyone know why I can get into hotmail with Netscape but
not Internet Explorer. Also using IE will not load any
web pages that require secure connection like e-banking
sites.

Hi Todd,

Close Internet Explorer.
Start/run "regsvr32 softpub.dll" and click "ok".

I have exactly the same issue. Other SSL sites work ok, just hotmail and some banking sites do not. All browser settings are as they should be, same results with firefox and ie. Sites aren't blocked in any way. Interestingly, I can get to the sites via anonymouse.org but of course cannot login due to the inability to set cookies. Restarting modem no go. registering this DLL did not fix the issue.
