Unable to log in to XP after security update

I have a HP pavilion 6100 laptop with windows media center 2005 edition
installed. Last night when I turned it of it said that an automatic update
were to be installed. It all looked normal with the widows security update
logo on the turn off button and the text read: Do not turn off the computer
an update will be installed. The computer will automatically turn off after
the installation. (or something like that). Everything was quite normal and I
left my computer to install and turn off. This morning I turned it on again
and it started normal and the login screen appeared. I have three users
installed, 2 with password (admin authority) and one without password
(limited authority). I logged in to my personal user with my password and it
logs in and then before I was logged in it logged out automatically. I tried
several times with all the user accounts with the same result. I restarted
and tried to start in secure mode with the same result. I re-boted and tried
to start with my HP recovery CD (that I burned when I bought the laptop). The
computer answered that the CD was not configured the right way and I could
not go further. Now I can’t figure out anything more to do. I have no windows
CD because the windows edition was pre-installed. Could you please reply with
a suggestion to fix this.

Down below I have copied the updates issued latest.

Have you had any more troubles reported?

This problem is usually caused by some virus or malware that makes certain
changes to the logon environment. When the security update goes through then
the damage done by the malware becomes apparent, resulting in the logon
process looping forever. To be specific: Windows is no longer able to locate
the file userinit.exe, either because it is missing or because the malware
causes Windows to look in the wrong place.

I suggest you try a manual System Restore
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545). The process is completely
reversible. If you're not particularly computer-savvy then you should ask an
experienced friend to assist you. As an alternative you can probably fix the
problem by connecting your PC's disk as a slave disk to some other Windows
XP PC, or by booting it with a Bart PE boot CD. Post again if you intend to
try one of these two methods.
