Unable to install updates part ?

I not sure how I managed to post this in accessibility but it probably shoud
be here. I have a machine I recently had to reinstall XP sp1 on. That went
well but now it has the updates icon on the task bar but when I click on that
to install, a few seconds into it, I get a message that it can't find
"PRO11.msi". I did a search and it's not on the comp or the install disk.
What is this and how do I get it? Thanks.y but It probably should be here.

Accessibility was likely the incorrect group.
This is likely the incorrect group.

I don't believe you just installed Windows XP SP1 - I believe you installed
Office SP1... (The version of office is up for grabs - although I'd guess
Office 2003.)

Why do I think this?

PRO11.MSI is an Office file. It's essentially asking you to instert your
Office installation media so it can finish the install of the Office Service
Pack you are installing. Your question is one about Microsoft Office - Not
Microsoft Windows. ;-)

PRO11.msi is an Office 2003 MSI database package installer. Is Office
2003 installed?
If not, download and run the Windows Installer Cleanup utility from the
link on this page after you've read how to use it:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Also, why isn't SP2 installed for XP ?

I checked what it was trying to update and it must have been and office
update but it needed to install SP2 also. I did the command lines mowgreen
suggested in another post and I thought it installed SP2 properly but now
anytime I try to boot it up I get the compaq screen, then the XP screen with
the moving blue dashes, then a blue screen with words that is gone too fast
to read then it goes to the safe mode screen. I have tried safe mode, last
configuration mode and regular mode and they all do the same thing. What did
I screw up?

Additionally, I tried to do a XP recovery and tried to list the commands at
the command prompt with "recovery console commands" but it told me "the
command was not recognized"

What ' command lines ' for an SP2 installation are you referring to,
please ?

Are you attempting to run Recovery Console from the XP disk because it
does not sound as if you are doing that right, either :
