Unable to delete folder named "Save.." - missing files

A newsgroup reader (Newsbin) downloaded about 2 gigs of
files last night. The files were not individually saved as
rars (as usual) in the download directory on my data
harddisk. Instead, there was a folder created in that
directory called "Save.." (save followed by an two
periods). I cannot open, move or delete that folder using
any Windows commands. Windows Properties says it has 0
bytes; however, when I scan that folder with Norton
Antivirus, it tells me it contains 52 files. Using Norton
Utilities/System Information, I can actually see the
folder and the 52 files inside. It was the batch from last
night and it does total 1.93 gigs. My hard drive is not
accounting for 2 gigs in free space when I add up the
directory sizes of recognized directories and files.

However, I still cannot seem to access it. I cannot delete
it using Windows delete or Norton Wipe Info. Each time I
try and access it in Windows, I get the following error:

H:\My Videos\News3\Save." refers to a location that is
unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer,
or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is
properly inserted, or that you are connected to the
Internet or your network, and then try again. If it still
cannot be located, the information might have been moved
to a different location.

I am guessing the files are on somewhere on my C: or H:
hard disks, but where? At this point, if I cannot recover
the files, I would like to delete the folder, but I can't
even do that.

I have also tried to access via the command prompt with
the same results.

In windows explorer > Tools > folder options > View... make sure Hidden
Files and folders > "show hidden files and folders" is checked. If it is not
checked hopefully checking it will help. If you can now see the folder,
right click on the folder and choose properties. If the folder is listed as
an archive file or read only, uncheck it... if this was the case you should
now be able to delete the folder.

Yes... both in windows and under the command prompt. I
cannot do ANYTHING with it on a "left click" basis. The
only thing I can do in Windows is right click, but no
changes (like hidden, read-only) are kept when I try to
change the properties. A left click brings back the same
error message.
