Unable to create or edit calendar entries

For some reason, I am suddenly unable to edit or create calendar entries.
However, I am able to delete them. Any suggestions??
 
you'll need to provide some information:

version of outlook
add-ins you are running
any devices you are synchronising to
when did it stop working (what did you do just prior - even if you think
it's not relevant).
