Unable to change password

I changed the passwords and status on my accounts and now I can no longer log
on as "Administrator" because Windows will not accept my password. I can
only log in under an account that no longer has administrator authority. I've
tried without sucess to change the password under User Accounts and in
Computer Management. I also tried Run: control.userpasswords2 where the
instructions say, "Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete and then click "Change Password."
However, when I do this the Windows Task Manager opens and I do no see a
option that says "Change Password."

Hi John,

You cannot change or reset an administrator password from a limited account,
you must be using an account of equal stature.

If you run 'control userpasswords2', you should go to the second tab and
click advanced, then click on the users folder. From there, right click the
account in question and use 'set password' to reset it. If you cannot, see
this from MVP Kelly on password problems:

Hello RIck,

I tried your first suggestion, but there are no tabs when I run 'control
userpasswords2', just the User Account window that asks me for the password
for the Admisstrator account. I have not tried your second suggestion yet.

Yhanks, John
