Unable to browse domain controller

I have a windows 2000 advanced server and 2 member servers. The domain is
named acorde . When I browse from the member servers by giving the UNC path
\\acorde I am able to see the domain controller. But when I try to do the
same from the domain controller itself , it cant find the \\acorde Also
there are errors in system event log which are
1. source : userenv event id : 1000
2. source : SceCli event id : 1001

I followed 3-4 knowledge base articles from the site pertaining to this
error but no help. the above errors are also because the domain controller
cant browse the domain UNC.

Is the DC pointed to itself for DNS? Are the clients
pointed the DC for DNS?
Clients and DC should be pointed to same place for DNS.
