unable to access OWA

Hi,

We have a problem with OWA. We are using OWA for quite a time now and
everything worked fine.
Until this week, with no apparent reason we are unable to access the
OWA-website.
When going to the OWA-website, the page seems to load and you see the
different buttons come up, but then it says "Loading..." and it stays there
for the rest of time. Browsing the different forums and newsgroups haven't
helpt us out yet.
So any help or hint would be welcome.

Config.
Windows 2000 server with all service packs, exchange 2000 SP3 and the
clients are Windows XP (some with and some without SP2) both type of clients
have the same problem. Even tested with "outside" W2K and W98 clients.
The problem "we think"should be at the server side. No recent big changes
on the server side. Last month we installed a SUS-server, but for
troubleshooting we already uninstalled the SUS-server, witch was no success.

Greetings,
Jo Lambrecht

Nobody changed anything in IIS? M drive on Exchange? Event logs giving you
any clues? Does it work from the server itself?

That shouldn't be an issue at all with OWA.

I suggest you post this in m.p.exchange.clients or .admin as OWA is part of
Exchange, not Outlook.

Hi,
As far as i know nothing has been changed to IIS (unless the SUS-server
install changed anything). Event logs giving no more info and it doesn't
work from the server also.

Solved the problem.
Settings in my IISlockdown where indead
altered while installing SUS-server. I've searched the knowledgebase with
the new info i got from you and i found "Q840183 - Outlook web access
clients cannot open mailboxes after software update services is installed on
a computer that is running exchange 2000 or exchange 2003"
I ran the IISLOCKD.EXE program to restore my previous settings, and
everything is working fine again (happy users)

Glad you got it resolved!
Best to put SUS on another server if you have that option.
