Hi,
I am working for a IT company and we have shared folders on many of our
desktops. I too have created a shared folder on a desktop.I am able to access
that folder on other desktops by typing "\\desktopname\shared folder" in the
run box in start menu. But there is problem with one desktop where I am
unable to access the same folder.Whenever I try to access it, it gives a
error message "The network path was not found".I think there is some service
which is disabled on this desktop that stops me from connecting to that
shared folder. All desktops in my company are under a single domain.

Guess this is a firewall issue. Have you allowed that computer through your
firewall - added to trusted computers?
