Bruce.

Windows mail on my pc asks if you want to Archive old mails every so
often.Unfortunately I can`t find a way to view these archived e-mails, and I
desperately need to find a file that was sent by me to this pc.

Does anyone know how I can view all my archived e-mails?
Any help much appreciated.
Best Regards,

Bruce.

Windows Mail doesn't archive, Microsoft Outlook does, which are you using?

I use Windows Mail also. I was asked a couple times if I wanted to archive
my old messages. Why would this pop-up box ask this question if there is no
archiving in Windows Mail?

That's not a question Windows Mail will ask.
You probably confused it with the prompt to compact the message store.
The message store is a database or index with pointers to all your messages.
When a message is deleted, it leaves a blank space in the database.
Too many blank spaces and the access speed becomes slower and slower.
