Whats the difference, more or less the same or not?

Thanks!
Bye for now.

Clive.

Looking at the screenshots of TightVNC it doesn't seem as polished as
UltraVNC. Plus Ultra has a Java viewer you can use through your
browser if you wish. You can prevent the host machine VNC service from
being disabled by the user and you can hide the icon from the system
tray.

Do you find that UltraVNC sometimes makes the host machine CPU process
go near 100%?

I've never had reason to suspect that (like a slower-than-normal
response), so I've never checked it.

Does Tight allow file transfers?

The website screenshots show that it does.

I am sure the main function of TightVNC, UltraVNC, RealVNC, Remote
Desktop are all basically the same since the underlying engine is VNC.

It's true. Without the separate mirror driver UltraVNC is a CPU hog.
TightVNC uses less CPU "out of the box".

What is this separate mirror driver?

I've used both and havent had any CPU issues with either. UltraVNC is a
bit better in my personal opinion but TightVNC would be the way to go
if you needed to work with any machine running an OS other than Windows
(It supports Linux whereas UltraVNC does not).
