Hi, Apologies for the probably Blonde question but Im going on an extended
trip to UK from Australia, can I take and use my laptop there? I will need to
access my remote desktop functions, email etc. Any port modifications or
software additions I should consider so that I can access broadband while I'm
there. I'm using Vista and Windows Remote Desktop with Microsoft Outlook.
Cheers

Yes, you will be able to bring your laptop here and even use it legally. We
have broadband and even wifi here too! It's all go!

The only think I'd warn you about is the cost. Whilst you can find free
wifi, if you have to use a pay-to-use service like BT Open zone (available
in motorway service areas/cafe's etc), it can be quite expensive, depending
on how long your 'extended' stay is. Others are available, but look at
www.btopenzone.co.uk for prices.
