Hi, I'm tryig to create a title that in the middle of the page and i want
lines on both sides of the word (in the middle of the word). Kind of like
this:

-----------------------------------Notes---------------------------------------------

But I want solid lines on both sides. Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks.

You need to post one time in one newsgroup and then wait for a response.
Remember that we are not Microsoft techsupport. We could be the person you
sat next to at lunch.

I gave you a suggestion in another newsgroup.

I didn't know the first question posted, the box displayed "error your
message did not post."

What do you mean by "another newsgroup?" Sorry, first time using this
discussion thread.

You can use a long string of em dashes on either side, or a raised
underline.

An elegant approach is to set a center aligned tab stop in the center of the
line and a right-aligned tab stop at the right margin. Give both an
underline leader. Tab once, type your word, then tab again. Then select the
tab character on the left (display nonprinting characters so you can see it)
and use Format | Font | Character Spacing to raise the line. This will
probably take some trial and error to get just right, but start with 6 pts
for 12-pt text. When you figure out the correct amount, repeat with the tab
character on the other side (you can use F4 to Repeat).

Because an underline leader uses underline characters, there will be some
spaces between the word and the lines. A similar approach that will
eliminate the spaces, if desired, is to set the tabs as described, but
without the underline leader. Then select the tab and raise it as before,
then Ctrl+U to underline it.
