Hi, I am using Outlook 2003 (which has all the upgrades) with Windows XP
Professional I am using a Dell E1505 with a duo core processor.

The problem I am having is this. When I am typing a reply to a message or a
new message there is a short pause or hesitation. After the short pause or
hesitation what I typed appears. I am not sure what is going on? Thanks.

Alright, this could be a million different things, but to help narrow
down what is causing it, I would hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up the Task
Manager. Then select the Processes Tab. Then, by click the different
table header CPU to sort by CPU usage, and make sure its sorting most
to least (a computer running idle will have System Idle Process running
in the 90 percent area). Then go to reply to an email and watch the
processes to see if any processes jump. If its OUTLOOK.exe, then its
something with Outlook, but maybe you have some 3rd party plugin that
causing the computer to "chug" for a second. Let me know if you see
anything unusual. You can then google the executible to see what it is
and what it does.
