Typing issue

I am having an issue typing....p = -, m=0, u=4, i=5, j =1, k=2, etc....
How do I fix this?
I have tried the language option in accessibility and my filter and sticky
keys are off. I can type normally with the on-screen keyboard.
I have a lap top, so I cannot change out the keyboard.

Sounds like a laptop with NUMLOCK turned on.
Turn off NUMLOCK.

Set it in the BIOS not to be on at power-on.
Set it in Windows not to be on at startup.

PLEASE HELP.

Check the manual for your laptop to find out what key combination
activates/deactivates the built-in numeric keypad. You may find it's a
function of the Fn key and one of the F keys.

Note: You'll notice that the Num Lock indicator lamp on your laptop is lit
when you've hit the right key combination to activate the numeric keyboard.

If you're not sure what to do, post back with the make and model number of
your laptop.

I have an Acer 5004 and the Fn + F11 controls the NumLock.
