Typing and Drawing disappear

I am working on Office 2002/Word 2002.
I will be typing material in Word 2002 and the lines start
disappearing. Overtype is not on.
I will be doing a drawing and part of the drawing disappears.

If I go back and forth with "Zoom" in different percentages then the
materials returns back.

If I do an outline, and try to show the outline on the screen
(View-Outline); it will not show on the screen.

Any ideas or anything I left out.

This sounds like a display problem with your computer. I think that you need
a more capable video card for your computer as the one you have isn't
capable of keeping up with your edits.
