Type mismatch error while updating GAL Exchange 5.5

Hi,
I have a public folder which points to a url eg; http://xyz/default.htm.
I am using this url to update my GAL in exchange 5.5.
When the URL is opened from the browser I am able to save the changes.But when I try to update from the public folder I get an error "type mismatch".

I know this is an error related permission.But can someone guide me and let me know where I am going wrong.
