.txt opens with msword

Where is msword specified as default to open .txt files
instead of notepad ? I would like NotePad to open .txt
files and MSword to open .doc files but MSword opens .txt
and .doc files on guest acct on XP box... Owner/Admin
UID Notepad opens .txt files.
 
Find a .txt file with Windows Explorer, right click and select "Open With",
then "choose Program". Find Notepad and select it and click the box that
says "Always use the selected program............".

Folder Options has setting for this; however, the Guest
Acct Restore button is Greyed out which would restore the
default NotePad... I'm looking under the Admin's privilage
settings but have not found the setting to 'open by
FileType' for the default tool...? Any help will be much
appreciated. MikeE
