two way sync folder program ?

looking for a multi-purpose folder sync program that'll:

1. update: make sure that same files exist in both directories (same
size, date, time etc.) *OR*

2. prune: make sure that either directory does not contain duplicates
of the other directory (inc. same size, date, time, etc.)

i need the sync prgm to be able to perform both functions.
