Two User Accounts Different Settings

I am am running Vista Ultimate and my wife and I share the PC. I want to be
able to set it up where she can boot into a screen having her own settings,
not generic ones. I also want ot be able to have those that are specific to
me ie: screen resolutions, programs etc.We share some things but not all. Do
I need to have a separate drive or partion for her and can I use my copy of
Vista to do this. Sorry if this is a repeat post. I'm pleading new b
innocence.

You'll each have your own desktop settings automatically. She'll only have
the default settings when the account is brand new. Any changes she makes
will be applied only to her out account.

You can't have different resolutions for different accounts though because
the resolution is set in the hardware (video card), and so applies to all
user accounts.

All users have access to the same programs. But each user's recently-used
programs list on the left side of the Start menu will be unique. Each user
can also create his/her own desktop shortcuts and Quick Launch icons.

You don't need anything special like a separate drive or partition. Just
create the user accounts in your current Vista intall. See also the
