Hi. I need to have two sub-report side by side.

in sub-report1 I have the records of program1 and usually have 4 records per
day. on sub-reports2 I have the records of program2 and usualy I Have 2
records per day. I need to have them sizer by sizer per day.

That would allow me to analize data of a specific day in sub-report1 and
just look to right to analize the same day but of the sub-report2.

Now I have this:

sub-report1 sub-report2
-------------------- ----------------------
Emp.No Date Desc Emp.No Date Desc
1010 5-5-07 in 1010 5-5-07 in
1010 5-5-07 out 1010 5-5-07 out
1010 5-5-07 in
1010 5-5-07 out 1010 6-5-07 in
1010 6-5-07 out
1010 6-5-07 in
1010 6-5-07 out 1010 7-5-07 out
1010 6-5-07 in 1010 7-5-07 out
1010 6-5-07 out

An I need like this:

sub-report1 sub-report2
-------------------- ----------------------
Emp.No Date Desc Emp.No Date Desc
1010 5-5-07 in 1010 5-5-07 in
1010 5-5-07 out 1010 5-5-07 out
1010 5-5-07 in
1010 5-5-07 out

1010 6-5-07 in 1010 6-5-07 in
1010 6-5-07 out 1010 6-5-07 out
1010 6-5-07 in
1010 6-5-07 out

1010 7-5-07 in 1010 7-5-07 in
1010 7-5-07 out 1010 7-5-07 out
1010 7-5-07 in

Hi. I tried but nothing. I think that the details section should think that
there's ways 6 records, and if only two exists, the section detail should
think that there were six records. In that case, I have warranty that if 2 or
4 records happens, there were there 6

What do you think?

Have your main report sorting and grouping on Emp.No & Date.
Then set the Master/Child links in each subreport to these also.

Hi Karl.

The main report has no record source only the sub-reports has. The main
report is only used to group the other sub-reports.

My problem is that the number of records per day are not the same in
sub-report 1 and sub-report2.

When a sub-report has 4 records the size of the details section is diferent
of when has only 2. Witch is normal.

My problem is that I have two diferent programs to control the employees
time. So sub-report1 reads the querie of program 1 and sub-report2 reads the
querie of program 2.

the sub-report1 details has always 4 records but the sub-report2 has only
two.

So my ideia was to specify a fixed number of records in both sub-reports
details. Imagine that sub-report2 has only two records. I need a
condition/code the tells to the program that if it has two records the report
should sum two blank records.

Is it possible? I guess it is because I think that in somewhere else.

Thanks.

Use a record source in the main and Sorting and Grouping but no text box.
Use a union query to pull all the records that both subreports will have.

Do you think the only way to solve these problem in making a union querie?
