I built a site (www.fiveforks.org ) and now can't seem to find all of the
home page. On the web it looks ok, but when I pull it up into my editor
(FrontPage) all I get is just the body... without the top heading, the left
side bar or the footer. I seem to remember when I was building it that I
started with one of FrontPage's templates... I think. Over the last couple
of years I haven't had the need to change anything in the template... and
now I don't know where to find it. I have searched through every file on the
web and on my computer and I don't see anything that looks like what I am
looking for. The actual index.htm page contains only the body.

My second question... I have just purchased Office 2003 with FrontPage.
Should I uninstall my Office 2k prior to installing my new version, or is it
alright to install overtop of my existing version. I keep all my data on a
seperate drive and I am running WinXPpro.

Thanks for the great forum you have here,

Luther

You are using shared borders
The html for them is not visible in your "normal" pages that use them
If using shared border they are in the hidden _borders folder
To see the html for them use
Tools Web/Site Options Advanced - show hidden folders

Do not uninstall Office 2k before installing FP2003 upgrade
You will be given the option to overwrite (upgrade) the existing FP or install FP 2003 w/o removing the current version (the
recommended way is to replace the existing version of FP)
- Also select a custom install if you are only upgrading FP and continuing to use other Office 2K products, and do not install any
of the MS Office Common tools

Thanks a lot Stefan... that worked. I had failed to download it off the web
because I didn't see it (_borders folder).
As for my Office 2003... I understand you are saying to install it as an
upgrade rather than a fresh install... and then install FrontPage, also as
an upgrade.

Again, thanks so much for the help and for your time,

Luther
Btw... is there a preference for shared borders or include pages???

Neither
- well if you have to chose use Includes (more control) instead of shared borders

But FP 2003 introduces Dynamic Web Templates which are far better than either

Again, thanks Stephan... I didn't really like either one... either.
I look forward to seeing these dynamic templates as I am going to spend the
upcoming weekend upgrading my system to 2003...
