Two Outlook Trees?

In Outlook 2002:

In the Folder List, it shows the Tree of Outlook Today - [Personal Folders].



Then all Sub-categories of Calendar, Contacts, Deleted Items, Drafts and so
forth.



The problem is that I have another Outlook Today with the same tree as the
top tree. All data is the same. It looks like both trees are being updated
at the same time.



Is this normal? Should I delete the lower Outlook Today - [Personal Folders]
tree?

It is not normal, but it is very common. It is usually harmless. It is
usually the result of migrating Outlook data improperly to the profile (such
as importing a PST file instead of connecting to it properly). If you cannot
R click and close the duplicate set of folders, the safest way to correct
the problem is to create a new Outlook profile from scratch and connect it
properly to your PST file. In an older version like 2002, it was also
possible to hack the registry to correct the problem:
