or even delete it the access is going out.

what can i do

any help would be useful

Oded,

The problem is probably more a matter of a large number of control changes
being made to the form. You see, Access 2003 will only allow you to add 754
controls to a form over the lifetime of the form. I don't recall the limit
for previous versions. For example, if you were to add a textbox to an
Access 2003 form, then delete it, then repeat the same process 754 times,
Access would complain that you have too many controls on the form.

To get around this problem, create a new database, and import the offending
form into it. If you want, you can then delete the form from the original
database, compact, then re-import the form.

Mind you, if you have a truckload of controls on a form, I'd be looking at
your design. I've never seen a user interface where large numbers of
controls are actually necssary. No user could take in that much information
at one time anyway, so the rule is, KISS.

Create a new Form; open the old form, select all the controls, type
Ctrl-C to copy, and then go to the new form and type Ctrl-V to paste.

There is a limit of 700-some controls created over the lifetime of a
form. Deleting a control doesn't free up a new slot; even compacting
the database doesn't either.

If however you actually have a form with 700 plus controls on it -
something BADLY needs rethinking!

Ow!

You can't even create a new, empty database and import it?

If not... and if Compacting the database doesn't help...

Get out your backup disk.
