I have a bar chart of date of an order on the x-axis and cost of th
order on the y-axis, (each date in question is marked on the graph wit
its corresponding cost - it is not a linear time scale). How can I ge
the order number, which I have in a third column, to appear with th
date for each order:

Date___ Order No. Cost(£)
12.11.05 43251122 23
13.11.05 21391122 43

Thanks

Use the third column as data labels.

From Help:

You can quickly label all data points. Click the chart, click Chart Options
on the Chart menu, and then select the options you want on the Data Labels
tab.

The options available only label the chart with the series name (whic
is just series1) or the date (which is already on the x-axis) or th
cost (which is already on the y-axis), I want to label the bars with
third series, i.e the order number

Do you know of another way by any chance, I can install that program on
this PC (work PC) or do the work on another PC and bring it to this
particular PC.
