Two identical operating systems showing up on restart???

I did a clean wipe and install from XP SP2 disc. I formated the disc NTFS and
installed the operatings system. I went through all the screens and
everything until I got to the green meadow with the message that you can now
use Windows XP.

The problem I eject the disc. I restart the computer and the first screen I
get is a black screen that says "which operating system do you want to load?"
Windows XP Professional or Windows XP Professional. Two identical choices
with a countdown clock that will pick one for me if I don't pick one. Why did
this do this? I know I did a full format of the disk (not quick) and I only
stalled the OS once. So I just selected the first one.

I read up a little and was able to find how to fix it by going to My
computer >properties>advanced>startup and recovery settings>
Then on system startup I unselected the two time boxes.
In the default operating system drop down box it has two selections.

"Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
and
"Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /NoExecute=OptIn /fastdetect

I am not sure what the deal is or which one is correct or if I am doing
anything right or not. Can anyone please advise me?
