can two different computers side by side be connected to one Moniter? I would like to be able to switch bettween the two in order run older games that XP won't.

There are also monitors that have two connectors like the (older) Iiyama
A902MT Vision Master Pro 451 I'm using right now with two computers.

It's easily doable. go to www.cdw.com and do a search for KVM
(keyboard-video-mouse) switches.
