tweak the current command prompt

Hi there,

I once saw a guy tweak the command prompt once so the current path was
not showing as in the following example:

C:\Documents and Settings\JOSH.DOMAIN>

was changed to:

Does anyone know how to do this?

$G > (greater-than sign)

Just type prompt $G and hit Enter.

The prompt will only be > until you close cmd.exe.

If you want to change it to > permanently...

To see all the codes, open a command prompt, type prompt /? and hit
Enter.

Command prompt > Properties > Start in: C:\ (or whatever)

Try typing > in the Start in box.

C:\ yes, > no.
