I am using conroe E6300, 1 gig ram, Twinhan mini ter tuner card.
I had this card working fine on the beta version, Live TV was working.
I am getting No tuner installed. Same tuner works fine on XP MCE 2005

I have now clean installed Vista 64 RC1, but an not able to get the Tuner
working.
Twinhan does not have any beta version drivers.

Is anybody else facing similar problems?? Is there a fix or any drivers
available.

This error comes up on Vista x64 and x32 RC1, though the tuner was working
fine on the Beta.

I have the twinhan mini ter running well on RC2 5744 32bit
it also worked well in all previous builds also all 32bit
looking at my update history I can see that Vista has installed drivers for
it.
So I would suggest you check the twinhan website for the latest drivers I'm
sure they have them seeing windows Vista update has installed them on my pc

Even the 64bit BDA driver for XP may work if you install it in compatibility
mode

Hi,

I suspect that previously you used the 32 bit version, the error message
indicates that there is no working device driver for the tuner in the 64 bit
version. Without one from the manufacturer, the device is not going to
function.

Thank you for the feedback..

I think I will revert it back to x32, will wait for hardware manufacturer
to release the drivers.

To use compatibility mode you right click the file then select properties
and click the tab thats says "compatibility" then check the box that says
"compatibility mode for Xp Sp2" and check the box that says "run as
administrater"

I have the 878 chipset twinhan tuner and it's been working just fine in all
32bit versions of Vista so far including RC2
haven't tried it with 64bit tho

The problem usually isn't the software, as the 64-bit version can usually
handle running the 32-bit software. The problem is with the device driver
that initializes the hardware when the system is started, it absolutely
*has* to be designed and written for a 64-bit environment. Many makers of
these devices do not have these driver files, and most will not devote the
time necessary to developing them, especially for older hardware.
