Yeh it is rather expensive flops, so I have sent an email asking them as to why?
I can guess what they will reply though. As they are so cheap they have to make up the difference in other ways:D

My parents TV repair man always used to recommend Hitachi in the past as he said he rarely ever got called out to repair them - I agree with Toshiba, and also like Panasonic :thumb:

Telephoned this morning[01204-414101] and here guys is an update on Digital direct, the reason that post and package is what it is [expensive] is IMHO relevant, they use a specialist delivery service, two man crew, they set it all up for you tune it in etc: if your not happy with what you have you may return it there and then, and receive a full refund.

The CS also told me that more Toshiba TVs are sold on their site than all other brands put together; the warranty is dealt with by Toshiba themselves so no worries on that score, he also told me they have special deals from time to time and to look on the site daily, they are cheaper than the big stores as they purchase lager quantities some are up to 70% cheaper that’s a fact seen it myself.

:D
