Turning tasks into Calendar appointments?

Is there any way to turn items from the task list into actual
appointments based on the due date of the task? That is, if a task is
set to be due on May 1st at 9 AM, could it be brought over somehow as
an appointment on that day in the calendar? Whenever I just do drag
and drop, it puts them in the current day and time by default, and
that's no good with the number of tasks I'm looking to bring in.
