When I shut down window, I get a warning it says: Windows-Drive not ready-The
drive is not ready for use; Its door may be open. Please check A drive; and
make sure that disk is inserted and that the drive door is open. I check
task manager and nothing is there to be copied. The A drive isn't even
connected to the motherboard. How do I get rid of this warning? Thanks to
anyone who can help me.

Hi,

Power up PC, rightafter, enter BIOS by repeatedly pressing, DEL, F2 or F1
(depending on m/b brand).
Enter top left bios page, walk down the options and make sure Floppy drive
is set to disabled.

HTH,

alternately , your anti-virus may be set to check the floppy drive at
shutdown , you should be able to disable this function
