I have pivot table with 1 row field. It is fiscal period label. The
source data looks like

sub1 costset value period date
1.1.1 Project Office ACWP 10.86 DEC FY06 12/25/2005
1.1.1 Project Office ACWP 8.74 JAN FY06 1/29/2006
1.1.1 Project Office ACWP 8.38 FEB FY06 2/26/2006
1.1.1 Project Office ACWP 7.4 MAR FY06 3/26/2006
1.1.1 Project Office ACWP 7.22 APR FY06 4/30/2006
1.1.1 Project Office BCWS 9.27 DEC FY06 12/25/2005
1.1.1 Project Office BCWS 9.89 JAN FY06 1/29/2006
1.1.1 Project Office BCWS 11.54 FEB FY06 2/26/2006
1.1.1 Project Office BCWS 10.14 MAR FY06 3/26/2006
1.1.1 Project Office BCWS 12.3 APR FY06 4/30/2006
1.1.1 Project Office BCWS 10.06 MAY FY06 5/28/2006
1.1.1 Project Office BCWS 11.39 JUN FY06 6/25/2006
1.1.1 Project Office BCWS 11.14 JUL FY06 7/30/2006
1.1.1 Project Office BCWS 9.56 AUG FY06 8/27/2006
1.1.1 Project Office BCWS 9.56 SEP FY06 9/24/2006
1.1.1 Project Office BCWS 14.63 OCT FY07 10/29/2006
1.1.1 Project Office LRE 10.86 DEC FY06 12/25/2005
1.1.1 Project Office LRE 8.74 JAN FY06 1/29/2006
1.1.1 Project Office LRE 8.38 FEB FY06 2/26/2006
1.1.1 Project Office LRE 7.4 MAR FY06 3/26/2006
1.1.1 Project Office LRE 7.22 APR FY06 4/30/2006

When I use the the period as row field it sorts it alphabetically like

APR FY06
AUG FY06
DEC FY06
FEB FY06
JAN FY06
JUL FY06
JUN FY06
MAR FY06
MAY FY06
OCT FY07
SEP FY06

I can't use the date col and format it because oct, nov, dec are in
different fiscal years than calendar years

Is there a way around this?

Thanks
Woody

Just drag and drop the members in the correct order. That member order will
stick. The only issue being that when a new member is added to the field you
will have to drag that to it's appropriate spot. It is the same way that you
would go about ordering a pivot table if you add financial accounts. You want
it to be Sales, COS then Margin, but by default it shows up COS, Margin then
Sales...
