ttl for this record/entry

hi

im using console for microsoft DNS 2003
there is a field called "Minimum TTL"
thats clear for me. i have to change this to 30 minutes because of a server
migration for every
900 domain on the server, so the resolving is not cached longer then 30
minutes on others dns

but here is a second field "TTL for this record/entry" (translated from
german)

for what is this?
where is it saved (didnt found in zone files and registry) ?
how can i change it with dnscmd.exe ?

thankx for any tipps

You asking about these on the SOA Tab?
The default Ttl is used for all new records and negative answers.

The "Ttl for this record" is the Ttl for the SOA record.

You can change the default Ttl for all zones in the registry, but this only
changes the Ttl for all new records and negative answers. It will not change
the TTl for existing records.

Each record can have an individual setting that overrides
the default setting for the zone.

If the individual settings are used you much change it in
each place.

If they are not used you can change it in one location.

I am not sure:

Someone said you cannot change this (on each record)
that way, but another said you can change it for the zone.

i have change all soa TTL with dnscmd
i did it as follows

- dir >domains.txt (get all zone file names from dns directory into txt
file)
- import txt file to access
- remove .dns with edit / replace function
- added a view / query, where i added the dnscmd string for each zone
- copy / paste in dos box on remote system
