TS Licensing Manager is not automatically detected

I have installed Win2K3 TS License Server for a few Win2k
TS Servers in the network. When I open the Licensing
Manager, the tool will try to detect the license server,
after which it will fail, even though the server itself
is a license server. I have to manually select Connect To
command and enter the server name to list it in the
License Manager.

Anyway to let the licensing manager automatically?
Appreciate some pointers.

Hi,

As far as I know, this is normal behaviour under certain
circumstances. Our license server does the same thing.

Terminal server licensing will only look in certain
places for license servers. This mainly includes any
local DCs or enterprise license servers. If your license
server is not either of these then it will not pick it up.

I haven't tried this but you could try adding the license
server key into the registry of the license server. There
is a KB about doing this. This gives the server a list of
known license servers.

I think this is the one,

hope it helps

Daniel.
