ts.exe and tsl.exe

I am regularly having a problem shutting down my laptop
running Windows XP Professional.

Two .exe are apparently hanging and fail to respond.
They are "ts.exe" and "tsl.exe".

I don't know what the apps are supposed to do, but they
are obviously in the Windows XP suite of programs.

I sure would like to get some advice on how to fix this.

It sounds like spyware on your system. Download spybot or adaware and see
if it eliminates the files.

Download, install, update, and run all three.

Both of those files are components of malware or spyware. And no,
they do not belong to Microsoft. As nasty as MS is sometimes, they
do not promulgate malware\spyware.
