Trying to use my digital camcorder for a web camera

I recentle bought a jvc hardrive digital camcorder and figured I could use it
for a web cam. I can't find any info on setting it up so that msn messenger
can read it for this use. I have no problems copying video from the camera to
my pc. All the camera has is usb (no fire wire). It is a very new top end
camera, I would think that it would work for a web cam. Am I just missing a
setup step?

i'm having the same trouble, with a jvc digital camcorder; any luck? The only
thing I can suggest is are your drivers installed off the included software?
Make sure the video/memory switch is set to "memory" and that the record
switch is set to either "A" or "M". An pc icon should appear on the camera
display screen to let you know you are connected.
