trying to sync site, says remote and local can't be same name

I am in desperate need of help here! LOL I would appreciate it if replies
were sent directly to (e-mail address removed), since I don't know if I will find
my way back here for answers. )

Frontpage 2003 version.

I had a website dumped in my lap and I'm trying to figure this out.

I need to sync the remote and the local files I have for the site. When I
hit remote website, I have to enter properties.

When I try to put in the url for the site I get a pop up that says the local
and remote webs cannot be the same location. I have no idea how to fix this
so I can sync the two. I even tried deleting any and all items on my
computer that deal with the website. (after burning them to a cd rom) No
luck.

HELP!!!

It sounds like you are opening the live site in FrontPage, and trying
to synch it with the live site - that is the same location.

In FrontPage, if the web site is open, then File->Close Web to close
the site

File->Open Web
In the dialogue click on My Computer and browse to the folder where
your local web is stored.
Click Open
When the local web has opened, hit Remote Web Site and proceed as you
have before.
