Trying to setup to open to Welcome screen

Trying to setup to open to welcome screen. Went to Cortrol Panel/Users.
Selected to startup with welcome screen, applyed and restarted, it still
comes up to the desktop. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

Probably by design. As I understand, an Admin account with password and a
User account, for admin, with no password will boot up to the User account
directly.

Is this XP Home? How many accounts on the system? Is there only the built
in Administrator account, and that's the account it logs into?

Try this:

1. Click Start - Run - type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2
2. Make a check mark on the option "User Must Enter a name and password to
use this computer".
