trying to restore..

My system got clobbered, destroying C: with some corrupt files (thanks,
Linux...). I have image backups from the day of the calamity and am
trying to resore. Unfortunately, the machine where I made them quite
literally blew up with a failed pwr supply, so it's been replaced with a
new one. The new one has only USB ports for kbd and mouse, C: backup,
all seems well and it boots, but when it open the userid/password dialog
I find that I can't type anything. The mouse works fine, but the
keyboard is unrecognized apparently, so I cannot enter my password...
Any ideas on rescuing this?

Thanks,

Jason

Jason, you may have to go into the Bios and assign a USB port for the
Keyboard.
