Trying to Query an Access Database

Hi all

Hi all

Hoping for some guidance.
I have a database that contains equipemnt information - very simple - make,
model, serial number, etc. and department. I want to create a web page in
Front Page in which the user can enter the name of his or her department,
and click Submit, and a list of equipment for that department will display.

I have set everything up using FP Data Results Wizard, and it appears to be
fine - FP verifies the query, etc. but when you enter a deparment, the
following error is returned.

Database Results Error
Description: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too few parameters.
Expected 1.
Number: -2147217904 (0x80040E10)
Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers

The query itself is a parameter query that I designed in Access and copied
to the Custom Query portion of the FP Data Results Wiz dialog box.

Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks

I figured this out. I was trying to use a Custom Query, and what I should
have done was just select the desired table, then set up criteria options
later on in the Wizard. Thanks!

I bookmarked your page, and play to give it a try. I am definitely
interested- and appreciate your sharing it with me. Thanks again

You would nee to change the "Order" field to "Department"
Check out the sample and see if this might work for you.
