updateproblems

I have a new laptop with XP on it. I went to Microsoft's
site to get the critical updates and encountered a
problem when asked whether or not I accept the license
agreement. When I clicked on the Install button the
license agreement window pops up. It wants me to accept
the license agreement before I can install any of the
patches. The pop up window isn't displaying the check
boxes for me to accept or decline and there is no scroll
bar. I can't resize the window either. So I can't
download any patches. Any suggestions?

Hello
Did you try clicking enter when you see that agreement box.

Right-click on your desktop and select Properties > Settings > Advanced.

Under the "General tab" in Advanced Display Settings, adjust your
DPI setting to "Normal Size (96 DPI)" and click "apply".

Then revisit the Windows Update web site.

Yes, I did try hitting Enter with the window selected, to
no avail.

I figured it out.....click on the window and then hit the
tab key twice. The window scrolls down to where I can
accept the agreement. Problem solved.
