Trying to create a website

Hi

I'm completely new at creating a website. I'm doing a project for the university and am having lots of problems. I'm trying to insert a photo into my website on frontpage, but when I do either the dimensions are to big, or when I try to lower the dimensions the photo gets blury and there is to much space between the photo and the space the photo was inserted. Also, how do I do the hyperlinks. I just want to add some links to other websites, but I'm so lost. I've been reading a lot to get help, but it sure would help if I just had someone to answer quesitons as I go

Photo:

Any resizing (dimensionally or resolution) should be done
in an image editing program such as Photoshop, Elements,
etc. Front Page has some tools for editing photos but
they are not all that great as you have seen thus far.

For spacing and placement of photos (and other content),
it is usually a good idea to first insert a Front Page
Table onto your page and to then insert your photos and
any text describing them into cells in this table.

Hyperlinks:

This is easy. On your web page, type something that
describes the link to your visitor. This could be the
name of the website you want to link to or whatever.
Highlight the description you just typed and Insert |
Hyperlink. For hyperlinks to other pages within your
site, the dialog box will allow you to select the other
page by navigating to that page. For hyperlinks external
to your site (ie, other websites), you can type in the
full address of the site as if you were typing in the
Address line of your browser.

The most important advice I can impart is to get a book
on your version of Front Page. Two folks who provide
advice on this newsgroup, Jim Buyens and Jim Cheshire,
have written very good books about Front Page. Another
alternate would be to take classes offered at a junior
college or adult evening school.

You can always come back here when you get stumped.

Jayne-- For your hyperlink question: right click on the image or text (after you hightlight it) then left click on "hyperlink". Type in the URL you want it to link to. For photos, I resize in Adobe. I'm on aol instant messenger ATruePrincess00 if I can help any further.
