Trying to connect Comcast Digital to my Puter

I had Comcast digital cable installed in my Puter yesterday. Spent the rest of the day doing what they told me to do. Still not hooked up
I get the message
" Your current settings prohibt running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result the page may not display coprrectly.
I am very much a novice on the puter. Trying to teach myself.
Yesterday we did download a Java 2 script. We went in and restarted Internet Explorer.
Today I can not even find how I got into the right place to get the online help I had yesterday
Can someone please help me
Thank Yo
God BlessTrying

check in control panel>internet options>security>advanced ..you will
probably find the activex functions are disabled for security reasons

your internal firewall is probably turned on also

For a novice , the first place to go to for setup information would be your
internet service provider technical representative. They get paid to do
this. Jym
