Trusted Zone & Cookies with IE5.5 vrs IE6

With IE5.5 you could set the Internet Zone to disable cookies but let the
Trusted Zone have cookies enabled, but on IE6 under that new Privacy tabs
slider which seem to globally set cookies for all Zones at once.

Is there is a way like IE5 that I can set the Internet Zone to disable
cookies while at the same time anything in the Trusted Zone have cookies
enabled like IE5 could?

Nice links thanks, I had previously read them already except for the last one
you gave which was very informative too, thanks again, but unfortunately it
did not answer my question though. It's the same question whether
it's IE6 on W98, W2K, or WXP.

The question is I would like to be able to choose cookie options like IE5 let
us, for instance, to be able to say No (disable) all cookies in the Internet
Zone while at the same time say Yes (enable, or at least Prompt a yes or no)
all cookies for sites in the Trusted Zone - I could do that in IE5 - can we
do that in IE6? It appears that IE6 sets cookies globally and not
individually for each Zone like IE5 let us do. I realize within the Privacy
tab there is that Edit button but that does not solve my question either. Is
it possible?

Thanks for your help

The following KB article pretty much covers all your options in IE6, Lindy
(No, IE6 cannot be configured to handle cookies as could IE5 and earlier):

How to Manage Cookies in Internet Explorer 6:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q283185/

"Internet Explorer 6 implements advanced cookie filtering based on the
Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P) specification. The P3P specification,
developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), enables you to express
your privacy preferences while assisting Web sites in clearly describing, in
a computer-readable format, how they will use your data...

"[Tools>Internet Options>Privacy] These settings replace the cookies
settings on the Security tab in Internet Explorer 4 and 5 (and the Advanced
tab in Internet Explorer 3). The Privacy settings slider has six settings:
Block All Cookies, High, Medium High, Medium (default level), Low, and
Accept All Cookies."
