Truncate Name

Hi, how do I extract the first names from the various cells? I hav
thousands so it is impossible to do it manually. Thanks in advance!

For example
A1 = John Waters. Should be John.
A2 = Barry Johnson. Should be Barry
A3 = Fredderick Rogers. Should be Fredderic
 
Hi

I would use Data/Text to Columns, using a space as the delimiter. It's
fairly easy to do but backup your data before you start.
