MY OBJECTIVE IS TO CONVERT A REAL NUMBER (EG 71.30000)
REPRESENTING DEGREES, MINUTES AND SECONDS (DD.MMSSS)
TO DECIMAL DEGREES (DD.DDDDD)

TO EXTRACT THE MINUTES VALUE I TRIED THE FOLLOING
FORMULAS

=TRUNC((H42-TRUNC(H42))*100)

AND

=INT((H42-INT(H42))*100)

IF H42=71.3, WHY DO THE FORMULAS
YIELD 29 AND NOT 30
NOTE: TRY EXPANDING (H42-TRUNC(H42))*100 TO 13 DECIMAL
PLACES. WHAT FUNCTION OR SETTING WILL PRODUCE THE CORRECT
RESULT?
