3 peer-to-peer XP's, all with SP2. All of them see the internet, all of them
see folders on each other. Windows firewall enabled on all 3. But only the
main one connected to the internet has this problem. In My Network Places,
then View Workgroup Computers, it never responds... just the hour-glass
forever. Disabling firewall is no help. Trend micro virus installed on all
3. I am going to convert it from wired to wifi but would like this to work
first.

I'm afraid I need a little more attention. The web site is very interesting
but it does not really cover this issue. Also, now I am also having trouble
on my own network and my own XP workstation. When in newsgroups, I try
clicking on a choice and they all say "Sorry, page not available." By trying
to get there by other access lists, it sometimes works. CLUE: Network setup
wizard will not complete. It tells me to set it up manually. CLUE TWO: The
M/S e-mail telling me you respond to this posting also says "Sorry, page not
available."

LATE ADD-ON... IT SEEMS TO WORK NOW. After following the network setup
instructions on Carey's site, and changing ONE thing, I have no more "Sorry,
page not available" messages. I believe that setting the "enable dhcp over
tcp/ip" instead of the Windows default was the thing that did it. Thank you
ever so much.
