trouble with word as my email editor, message word is not availab

i have office xp professional version 2002. my outlook will not use word as
email editor. window shows "this form requires word as your email editor,
but word is either busy or cannot be found. i tried detect and repair to no
avail in both outlook and word. what could be the problem here. i miss
using word!!
